We’ve put together this list of frequently asked questions to make the repair process smoother for our Burnaby customers. From understanding the cost to knowing what to expect before the technician arrives, we’re here to help you feel confident in your repair decisions.
Before our technician arrives, clear the area around your appliance to provide easy access. If possible, remove any personal items or dishes. Make a note of any error codes or strange noises you’ve noticed, as this information can help speed up the diagnosis. If your appliance has a manual, have it handy. This small preparation step can help ensure a smoother, quicker repair process.
In many cases, repairing an old appliance can be more cost-effective than replacing it. Repairing your appliance can extend its lifespan, save money, and reduce environmental waste. If the repair cost is less than 50% of the price of a new appliance, it’s usually worth fixing. However, if your appliance has significant issues or is nearing the end of its lifespan, our technicians will provide honest advice on whether replacement is the better option.
The time it takes to repair an appliance can vary depending on the problem and the availability of parts. Many common repairs are completed on the same day, as our technicians carry commonly needed parts. Simple repairs can take as little as 20-30 minutes, while more complex issues might require 1-2 hours. If a special-order part is needed, most arrive within 24-48 hours, allowing us to complete the repair promptly.
