Career Background
I was trained as an air conditioning technician in my home country of Iran. When I immigrated to Canada I looked for another career in Vancouver. Since it seemed hard to find a job as an air conditioning tech in the winter here in Vancouver I discovered that home appliance servicing was a much better match for me. I received the necessary extra training at Kwantlen College.

Career Background
In 2016 I moved to Canada from Belgium in a pursuit to be reunited with my family. Before the big move I worked as a logistics coordinator for an insurance company.  As a part of this role I was responsible for an auditorium and all its equipment. This was by far my favourite part of this role. I could spend hours troubleshooting electronic components without noticing the time flying by. If that wasn’t enough, I also ran a small business (a one man show), where I was the middle man between property managers, trades people and renters. I just loved the human interaction involved in this position, and It was this role that I first came across troubleshooting appliances – which I found I really enjoyed. So, when I arrived in Canada I knew I wanted to specialize in appliance repair, I decided to take the Appliance Servicing Program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Why I Am Here at Priority
Priority Appliance Service is a great company. They are straight shooters, and they will do whatever they can to help people out. Being that I had been my own boss in the past, I know how difficult it is to offer all customers excellent service without fail. Here at Priority Appliance Service they know how to do just that, with tailor made service for everyone.. Fantastic!

Vision of Excellence in Customer Service
Tailor-made service to every customer, because everyone is unique.

Super Power I Would Like to Have and Why
To be able to speak, read and write every language (and dialects) in the world. Why? Because I like to talk to everyone.

Favourite Guilty Pleasure
Soccer, beer, French fries, chocolate, grab a mic, open mic, and soccer. Did I say soccer?

Most Important in Life Is
My family

Motivation
I like to learn new things every day. The good thing about being in this trade is that manufacturers are always innovating their products, which means there is a lot of room for education in this field.

Career Background
I immigrated with my family from Iran with a 17-year background that started with mechanical engineering, then domestic refrigeration from design, manufacturing, to field service. I attended Kwantlen University here in Canada to fill in some gaps with regards to popular brands in the North American market. My Kwantlen instructor recommended me to Priority early in the program, I had the opportunity to ride along with their technicians on all my off-school days. It became my goal to be part of this team, which I am thankful to have achieved. We are into all the high-end brands, that I appreciate coming from the engineering side.

Why I Am Here at Priority

Career Background
In South Korea, I worked for Hewlett Packard ten years as computer and printer field service technician and team leader. When I immigrated to Canada, I tried my hand at my own computer service business, well, umm.. not so good. My electronics background led me to a service company that focused on everything Samsung, phones, computers, and of course home appliances.  I enjoyed the varied product mix, but I kept looking at premium North American and European appliances, wanting to get my hands on them too.

Why I Am Here at Priority
Everyone in our trade knows that the most respected brand in premium appliance service, is Priority. My goal was to find a place on that team. I am here now, I really appreciate the support. I am here to do my part in

I think it is about serving others, just serve with everything you have. For me, I am a pleaser, so good reviews put gas in my tank.

Career Background
It all started when I was 8 years old. Someone gave me an old alarm clock. My curiosity got the best of me, and I took it apart. The components inside fascinated me. I had to know more… In the following years my love of electronics and technology grew. When I was 14, I got my ham radio license. In 1994, I finished school and made the decision to follow my father’s footsteps into the appliance service business, which at the time was with Midland Appliance. After two years apprenticeship, I began doing service calls. As the years passed, I began to really enjoy my job. It is clear to me that God has led me to the right career.

Why I Am Here at Priority
Priority Appliance Service not only provides an excellent income opportunity for me as a sub-contractor, but it is a powerful support group. When I have a problem, one of my teammates is always willing to lend a hand and vice versa.

I assumed the role of Field Service Manager for Priority to assist in the support legacy.
In 2017 I moved the family to Kelowna and am now in the process of building our Okanagan division, reception from the local dealers and customers has been heartwarming in every regard.

Most Important in Life Is
In September of 1998, I married the girl of my dreams (She’s still the girl of my dreams, by the way). Susan and I have been blessed with five beautiful children, three daughters and two sons.

Motivation
Every time I leave one of our company meetings, I am reminded how blessed I am to be part of such an amazing group of people. Perhaps part of the reason is my father’s decision not to be the “boss-man”, but to be there to serve. (“he that is greatest among you shall be your servant.” Matthew 23:11) This has encouraged a spirit of comradery, enthusiasm, and energy.

Tim

Career Background
I have done work in both construction and warehousing before taking the appliance servicing program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.

Why I Am Here at Priority
Having known some of my now co-workers here at Priority for quite a while I have seen the work they do, and I thought that it would be a good fit for me and having great respect for the company itself I figure its the best place I can be!

Vision of Excellence in Customer Service
I believe that an appliance servicer should both be professional yet very down to earth and reasonable. And while an appliance breaking down isn’t something to look forward too I want our customers to feel our service is something to look forward to!

Super Power I Would Like to Have and Why
It may seem generic or boring, but I feel having super strength and super resilience would be cool, while being an appliance technician is the most enjoyable work I have done I still wouldn’t mind taking a crack at being a super hero.

Favourite Guilty Pleasure
Having a large bowl of popcorn for “supper” and watching far too many episodes of my current favourite Netflix show.

Most Important in Life Is
The happiness and well being of the people I love and care for.

I moved to Canada with my family from Vladivostok, Russia, where I held an Electrician Engineer Diploma. I put in several years as an Electrician. During the era of main frames (no PC’s no laptops), I changed my career to computer service technician. When computers became small and fiddly, I retrained for appliance repair, servicing all the popular European brands. This is my field, I really enjoy it.

When I moved to Canada, I graduated from Kwantlen University and was lucky to get into Priority for my two weeks practicum. I liked Priority and the team from my first day. I got even luckier when Priority offered me the position.

FUTURE TECH – MASTER TECHNICIAN

FUTURE TECH – MASTER TECHNICIAN

Being that you are a future tech, we are having a problem seeing you, but your autobiography may look something like this.

Career Background
As a service tech for one of Priority’s competitors for the last ten years, I have always regarded this Team with utmost of respect. Priority’s reputation as a well-organized Team of professionals has always intrigued me. When my previous employment vaporized, I could not refuse the challenge of being accepted as a part of this incredible group of people. My previous 10 years were solely occupied with high end appliances, so this is a perfect fit for me.

Why I Am Here at Priority
It has been 18 months now, I am really enjoying being part of the group where I can shape my future and the future of others. I get to make a difference and effect change. My striking resemblance to Elvis makes customer service a blast. I only wish they wouldn’t ask me to sing all the time, it’s just not my job anymore.

Vision of Excellence in Customer Service
Put the customer and dealer first, anticipate their needs and plan to meet them.

Super Power I Would Like to Have and Why
Unlimited memory, instant recall, vertical learning curve…. Why? Why not?

Favourite Guilty Pleasure
